MY HOUSE IN BEAR CREEK CANYON

By Olaf Mitchell

My house in the Colorado foot hills will be coming up for rent so I put this post together to share the house with any interested prospects.

The images are a composite of photos taken by myself and past tenants. I posted it this way so as to give you a feel for the potential to personalize the house to your particular taste. (note: click on  any image to view all of the photos in a larger format)

i

The house has just over 1400 sq. ft. of interior living and about 500 sq.ft of outside deck.
It has a natural gas forced air furnace.
It is on a septic system
It is on city water
The county plows early after each snow in the winter.
The house has 2 spacious bedrooms

There is a sliding glass door from the dining area on to the south deck which makes for great access and convenient entertaining.
The large natural fireplace  is open from the kitchen into the family room and creates a warm ambiance on winter days and evenings .
the family room has clear vertical grain ceder paneling

There is a large capacity washer and gas dryer in the spacious storage / work/ utility room

The house is on a col du sac and has off street parking.

The property is in the community of Idledale and it has a wonderful feeling of remoteness but the fact is that the house is only 35min.to down town Denver, 40 min. to ski, 7 min. to Morrison, 7 min. to Evergreen, 15 min. to Golden , and 35min. to Boulder.
You can mountain bike / hike beautiful dirt roads and single track trails right from the  deck of the house.

Grapevine Road is a great bike ride and also takes you to I.70 with out any traffic
The area around town of Morrison offers vast variety of  interesting venues and activities.including a water ski lake, a windsurf lake and world renowned rock climbing/ bouldering area in addition to miles of mountain bike and paved bike trails that link to the metro area and the entire front range. Also let's not forget the infamous Red Rocks Amphitheater for the very best concerts in the world.

Here's how to get to the house.
From town of Morrison go west up Bear Creek Canyon past Red Rocks Park to
the town of Idledale
Once in Idledale go past the church and the post office.
Take a right on Grapevine Rd. just past the Post Office
Take the first left that you come to. That’s Riverview Dr.
Follow Riverview Dr. to the end.
It makes a cul du sak
The house is the last house on the left.
